NightFever is a special event that currently takes place twice a year at St Marie's Cathedral.

After the Saturday evening Mass, the Blessed Sacrament is exposed until 11pm, when the event finishes with Night prayer. Throughout the evening, Mission teams go out into the streets around the Cathedral and invite people to come into the Church to light a candle and place it on the altar.

The evenings are always powerful and blessed events, with 200-300 people of all religions and none taking up the invitation to come and pray, sit or be still in the Cathedral.

Music teams lead people in prayer throughout the evening and welcome teams talk to everyone who comes in. This is a great outreach initiative that can only take place due to the support and hard work of volunteers.

It is a great opportunity to welcome the people of Sheffield to come in or come home as part of the Year of Mercy.
